'Sat' (truth, being) plus 'lok' (realm); Kabir's name for the soul's original, eternal home beyond Kaal's dominion, from which every soul is said to have descended and to which the awakened one ultimately returns.

Satlok differs from Amarlok mainly in emphasis: Amarlok stresses deathlessness, while Satlok stresses the unbroken truthfulness of that realm, contrasted with the deception (maya) that defines Kaal's domain.
