ਸੰਤ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਰਚਿਤ 'ਯੁਗੇ ਅੱਠਾਵੀਸ' ਭਗਵਾਨ ਵਿੱਠਲ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਰਤੀ ਹੈ। 28 ਯੁੱਗਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਭਗਤ ਪੁੰਡਲੀਕ ਲਈ ਇੱਟ 'ਤੇ ਖਲੋਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਰੁਕਮਣੀ ਸਮੇਤ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਅਮਰ ਉਸਤਤ ਹੈ।
ਤੁਕਾਂ
ਅਠਾਈ ਯੁੱਗਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਇੱਟ 'ਤੇ ਖਲੋਤੇ ਹਨ; ਖੱਬੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਰੁਕਮਣੀ ਦਿਲਕਸ਼ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਵੰਡ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ! ਭਗਤ ਪੁੰਡਲੀਕ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਸਾਖਿਆਤ ਪਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਆਏ ਹਨ; ਅਤੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਗਦੀ ਭੀਮਾ ਨਦੀ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦਾ ਉੱਧਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।

ਜੈ ਦੇਵ, ਜੈ ਦੇਵ, ਜੈ ਪਾਂਡੁਰੰਗ! ਹੇ ਰੁਕਮਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਧਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਪਿਆਰੇ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਜੀਵਨ-ਸਾਥੀ, ਆ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰੋ!

ਗਲ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਲਸੀ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਾ, ਲੱਕ 'ਤੇ ਹੱਥ; ਪੀਤਾਂਬਰ ਧਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੱਥੇ 'ਤੇ ਕਸਤੂਰੀ ਦਾ ਤਿਲਕ ਸੁਸ਼ੋਭਿਤ ਹੈ! ਦੇਵਤੇ ਨਿੱਤ ਦਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਗਰੁੜ ਤੇ ਹਨੂੰਮਾਨ ਜੀ ਹੱਥ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਖਲੋਤੇ ਹਨ।

ਇਸ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਰਖਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਬੰਸਰੀ ਦੀ ਧੁਨ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ; ਗਲ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਕੰਵਲ ਅਤੇ ਵਣਮਾਲਾ ਹੈ! ਰਾਧਾ, ਰੁਕਮਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਆਭਾਮਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਵਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਆਰਤੀ ਉਤਾਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਭਗਤ ਆਰਤੀਆਂ ਉਤਾਰ ਕੇ ਦੀਵੇ ਚੰਦਰਭਾਗਾ ਨਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ! ਧੂਪ, ਦੀਪ ਅਤੇ ਨੈਵੇਦ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਭ ਧੰਨ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ; ਅਤੇ ਸੰਤ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿੱਠਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਖਿਆਤ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ!

Significance of 28 Yugas
In the Puranic count, the present Vaivasvata manvantara (the 7th) is in its 28th chaturyuga, so 'Yuge Atthavis' points to Vitthal as the eternal Lord of cosmic time, standing and waiting rather than a temporary presence.
The Divine Pair
Lord Vitthal is worshipped here alongside Devi Rakhumai (Rukmini) standing gracefully on His left side (Vamangi Rakhumai). Verse 4 adds that Rai (Radha) and Satyabhama also offer aarti to the dark-hued Lord with devotion.
Holy River Bhima
The sacred river Bhima wraps in a crescent around Pandharpur, earning the endearing spiritual name Chandrabhaga (crescent moon river). Verse 5 describes the waving lamps being floated on the Chandrabhaga after the aarti.
Nama's signature
The text of this aarti in the Marathi Arati collection of Sanskrit Documents closes by saying that Namdev offers the lamp to Keshava with devotion. Because the poet's own name appears in the last line, the aarti is traditionally attributed to Sant Namdev, the Warkari saint-poet. The wording of the closing line differs between printed and sung versions, and the version on this page ends with “Namayacha swami dekhila dola”, the Lord of Nama seen before the eyes.
